Ethernet linear protection switching

Recommendation ITU-T G.8031/Y.1342 describes the specifics of linear protection switching for Ethernet VLAN signals. Included are details pertaining to ETH linear protection characteristics, architectures and the automatic protection switching (APS) protocol. The protection scheme considered in this Recommendation is:
