Films produced by the United Nations

In the 1960s, the United Nations Office of Public Information produced three films on ITU.  The first of these, "Lines of Communication," was a half-hour television programme produced in 1963.  A second film was produced in 1965 in honour of the ITU Centenary.  A third work, a 20-minute documentary, was produced as part of an information series on the specialized agencies of the United Nations in 1966.
 
We are pleased to be able to present two of these films here on the History of ITU Portal.
 

In Signal Honour / Pour 3 milliards d'hommes (1965)

"In Signal Honour" (French title: "Pour 3 milliards d'hommes) was produced on the occasion of the centenary of ITU by the United Nations and the French Ministry of Post and Telecommunications in cooperation with French Television.  The film retraces the development of telecommunications during the first hundred years of the Union.
